Type and the Enneagram: Do They Intersect?

Virginia Thomas, PhD

The MBTI and the Enneagram are two of the most well-known systems of personality, utilized by individuals and organizations around the world. Each system describes a complex picture of psychological functioning, allowing us to identify and appreciate multiple ways of thinking, feeling, and acting in the world. But how do these two systems fit together? This highly interactive program invites participants to explore how Type intersects with the Enneagram.
  • Learn about each of the nine Enneagram ego-structures and their respective psychological territories, from their worldviews to their emotional and behavioral patterns.
  • Discover whether there are correspondences between specific Enneagram styles and Type preferences.
  • Discuss how these two systems are distinct and where they overlap, especially in regard to applications for personal and professional growth.
