Clarifying Best Fit Type
Susan Nash
How many times have you heard someone say, “I use both Sensing and Intuition,” or “I am both of these types”, or “I am not sure between two similar types? As a result, type theory may appear to lose validity and individuals fail to gain the benefits from understanding their best-fit type profile.
One of the many reasons why confusions might occur when trying to use any assessment tool is the difficulty in differentiating between adapted behaviors, contextual factors and core preferences. In this session, we will investigate in detail how to separate “lookalikes” by using the lenses of Temperament, Interaction Style and Cognitive Processes using an innovative, practical card set. The benefits will be a greater understanding of what lies behind the “four-letter code” and the ability to help others differentiate between similar types to settle on best-fit. In this hands-on workshop we will introduce skills, tools and techniques to help with this process.
This experiential session will be appropriate for participants with different levels of knowledge and experience in working with type (from beginner to more experienced). This knowledge and approach will be applicable for coaches and counselors as well as those who use type primarily with family and friends.
