A Night at the Movies: Talking about characters we have loved, or not...
Deborah Derov
Join us for a unique experiential Thursday evening program when we talk about movie/tv characters that have impressed us . . . looking through a new lens – the lens of archetypes. (Based on Beebe’s eight-function model)
Let’s take a fresh look at a movie/tv character that stood out for you. For example, recently I started binge-watching the first two seasons of ”This Is Us.” Some archetypes are obvious but aspects of the Anima, Opposing Personality, and Daimon show up too. Come share one or two archetype(s) that you have discovered. Either you loved them or you couldn’t stand them. . . . Could looking at them through the lens of archetypes provide some clues about why one or another made such a strong impression? Let’s talk about it and have some fun while we learn from each other. Join us while we get comfy, enjoy a light meal and share insights gained through our knowledge and exposure to the archetype perspective of type theory. Deborah Dervo, will lead us through a wonderful evening of insight and discovery.
